READING ASSIGNMENTS

You are responsible to have read the assignments by the time you come to class. This is critical to good discussion and learning.

If you read about 14 pages per day
 you will keep up!

(And the pages are small in Sophie's World!)

 WHAT'S MY PHILOSOPHY

"What's My Philosophy" is to be completed and handed in at the end of class.  Each one is worth a possible 10 pts and cannot be made up.

You must include some point from the daily reading, lecture, or discussion that relates to your position, and underline it.

These exercises are designed to help you consolidate your thinking on the days work, express your own philosophy, and write your ideas concisely and clearly.

 DAILY QUIZZES
Daily quizzes are given at the beginning of each class and following the special focus session, and cannot be made up.  The questions are taken from the assigned readings for the day.  Each quiz is worth
a possible 10 points.

DISCUSSION CREDITS
The Discussion Worksheet is your aid to effective discussion. Discussion credits (10) will be assign by receipt of the day's discussion worksheet.  These must be handed in before leaving class and discussion credits can not be made up.
